1. Hardware

Nintendo 64 has propably the broadest range of differently coloured consoles and controllers in gaming history. This section aims to map out these different colours, but does not include various console/software bundles.

Charcoal Black - The regular N64. Bundled with several different games over the years.
Regions: All

Funtastic Colours: Smoke Black, Jungle Green, Ice Blue, Fire Orange, Grape Purple, Watermelon Red - These transparent colours came late in the N64's life.
Regions: EUR, USA. Australia had all but one, Watermelon Red. Also, AUS Smoke Black was called Charcoal. JAP had only two of these: Smoke Black was called Clear Black and Grape Purple was called Midnight Blue.

(It should be noted that Grape Purple and Midnight Blue photograph quite weirdly, they have to be seen in person to see the true colours)

Clear Blue, Clear Pink - Top part of the console is see-thru light blue/pink, bottom part is see-thru white.
Regions: JAP. EUR only had the Clear Blue version.

Pikachu - A widened N64 with Pikachu on top, a Pokéball as a powerswitch, Pikachu's foot as a reset button and Pikachu's cheek as a power indicator light. Three variations, dark blue, light blue and orange tops, with yellow undersides.
Regions: JAP for light blue and orange. EUR and USA for the dark blue.

Pokémon - This machine is sized normally, but features the same blue/yellow colours. It also has several Pokémon pictures on top.
Regions: EUR (as Battle Set), AUS (as Pokémaniac N64)

Gold - Fully coloured in gold. USA had this with two matching controllers only from Toys'R'Us, Japan's bundle included just one controller.
Regions: USA, JAP

Daiei Hawks Limited Edition - A rare special edition, only for sale in Daiei shops in Japan. Transparent coloured orange top/black bottom.
Regions: JAP

Jusco 30th Anniversary Edition -  A rare special edition, only for sale in Jusco shops in Japan. Transparent coloured light gray top/white bottom.
Regions: JAP

Atomic Purple - Has been bundled with a regular black console in USA and has been sold separately. EUR and AUS versions are not called Clear Purple (package front is identical, minus the Atomic Purple -logo). Not to be mistaken with the darker Grape Purple.
Regions: USA, JAP, EUR, AUS.

Extreme Green - Transparent bright green colour. Has been bundled with a regular black console and has been sold separately. For sale only in Toys'R'Us.
Regions: USA

Regions: EUR, AUS. USA only had the blue topped.

Regions: JAP

Nintendo Power controllers: Donkey Kong 64, Nintendo Power 100, Millennium 2000 - These three promotional controllers were only available through the american magazine Nintendo Power. DK64 was yellow with brown tips resembling bananas, NP100 was a regular gold controller with a "Nintendo Power 100" sticker on top (made to celebrate the magazine's 100th issue) and M2000 was a half silver, half black controller with black buttons and was printed with the words "Millennium 2000". This is the only contoller which has differently coloured buttons.
Regions: USA

Finally, below is a special promo controller, coloured half gold, half black and with an N64 emblem on top. The origins of the controller are somewhat shrouded thanks to the extreme rarity of it. The most common story is that it was produced for the 1997 E3, where at least one was offered as a prize in a StarFox 64 competition. The controllers were apparently also handed out internally to some Nintendo employees.

1.6 64DD

The 64DD was an ill-fated add-on for the Nintendo 64. Announced at the same time as the Nintendo 64 was first unveiled, it arrived years later only in Japan. An estimated 12,000 units were produced. Originally sold only through the mail, it was available for retail as well.

Yellow packaging includes the 64DD, modem cartridge, phone cable, RANDnet software and Expansion Pak. Blue retail packaging includes only the 64DD and Expansion Pak.

Keyboard - Usable only with the RANDnet software, for browsing the net and typing messages.

Mouse - Bundled with Mario Artist: Paint Studio. Usable in all Mario Artists. (Also works with StarCraft 64, but as the only method of input, is quite lacking)

Capture Cartridge and microphone - Bundled with Mario Artist: Talent Studio. Used as input method for pictures, video and audio.

2. Games

Below are lists for every released Nintendo 64 game and which region they were released in. The list is in alphabetical order by their USA name, the EUR name has been mentioned after the name if it differs. The second list is 64DD games and the last list charts all known special editions (does not include any peripheral/game-bundles which have already been listed at section 1.5).

For the completist collector, it is noteworthy that in Europe there was a unique version produced for Germany for the games Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Carmageddon 64. Turok had it's human adversaries censored into robots and Carmageddon 64 had dinosaurs and mammoths to run over instead of zombies.

European collectors should also be aware of differently named games. Some European countries might have the identical game released with a different name, such as Yannick Noah All-Star Tennis '99 (France's All-Star Tennis '99) or Box Champions 2000 (Germany's Knockout Kings 2000). These kind of country-specific variations are not on this list, I only list the english version of the game.

I have also listed these as separate releases: Beetle Adventure Racing / HSV Adventure Racing and Mia Hamm Soccer 64 / Michael Owen's WLS 2000. They are essentially the same game, but have big enough graphical differences to warrant a place on this list.

In total, there was 392 games released for the Nintendo 64. 297 of them were released in North America (51 regional exclusives), 244 in the PAL region (6 regional exclusives) and 198 in Japan (87 regional exclusives).
